Even SIMPLE PLAN agrees, EVERYTHING IS MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!
Crowd screamed as Simple Plan’s Pierre Bouvier said on stage “It’s more fun in the Philippines,” during their concert last January 12, 2012 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Seb Lefebvre, guitarist of SP, also tweeted “Everything is more fun in the Philippines. I believe it now!”
More photos from the show to be posted on MY FB page and on Dayly’s.
Our trip to Bicol during the sembreak of 2010 birthed these lovely photos. I immediately remembered them when I saw the “It’s more fun in the Philippines” campaign of the Department of Tourism. I’m not sure anymore who took which pictures (the only ones I’m sure of are that of Yhan and Nico’s 2nd jump shot because they’re the ones that are from my camera) but all the color enhancement via Photoshop is Nico’s doing.
1 Chasing rainbows: Took a photo of Yhan in Matukad Island; The three rainbows in the backdrop are the loveliest incidental findings. - Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur
2 Collisions: Massive splashes also in Matukad Island where the waves are the craziest (we hopped from Sinabitang Laya to Matukad Is to Cagbinalad Is); People ask me where the hell my R forearm went. The waters must have waved it goodbye. Haha. -Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur | PS - Nico made this ad as a form of revenge for using his pictures without his consent. What sort of revenge is this?! Haha.
3 Hitchhiking: The only way for people to get from the boat to the shore and back without getting wet is to be carried by kargadors on their shoulders. This was in Camsur on our way to Sinabitang Laya. Ad by Nico.
4 Jump shots: Nico hated me for posting this without getting his consent. Haha. This was in Cagsawa Ruins, Albay. The only thing more perfect than Nico’s pose is the Mayon Volcano in the background. One of the kids in Cagsawa took this picture. So people, if you’re in Cagsawa and a kid offers to take your pictures, let them. They specialize in jump shots. - Cagsawa Ruins, Albay
5 Jump shots 2: Only because I realized Mt. Mayon was barely seen in the first ad. This was a view from Lignon Hill.
6 Leaning tower: Nico, my favorite model, in a trick shot with the Cagsawa Church bell tower. Again, by one of the kids in the area. By the way, they do this free of charge. The tourism department should recognize these kids! - Cagsawa Ruins, Albay
Dios mabalos, Bicol! I hope we meet again :)
Mila.
